AMAZON FOOD DELIVERY BUSINESS MODEL
Amazon food delivery is a mobile-based application that allows users to order food from local restaurants and get delivery services.

Amazon is joining India's online food delivery market
Amazon has launched its online food-delivery service called Amazon Food in selected pin codes of Bangaluru, at a time when order volumes of the two largest players the segment Swiggy and Zomato are at an all-time low due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The company originally planned to launch the service in India the last year, which is then moved to march but pushed it further amid the nationwide stay-at-home order the Indian government issued in late March.
Amazon Food allows customers to order from handpicked local restaurants and cloud kitchens that pass our high hygiene certification bar.
Amazon getting into the food delivery market could create new challenges for Swiggy and Zomato, an 11-year-old startup.
Swiggy and Zomato, having raised more than $2 billion together, are still not profitable and losing more than $15 million each month to acquire new customers and sustain existing ones.
