KALCHI BUSINESS MODEL
Kalchi is an online platform for an Indian meal, which sells its ready-to-eat products.
STORY BEHIND THE IDEA KALCHI
Kalchi was born in the summer of 2017 when Sundeep and Payal having already ventured into diverse formats in the food and beverage industry, identified a gap in the availability of safe, affordable and nutritious products. Like any other busy and young parents, they were always struggling to prepare delicious quick meals for their children.
Then began the real work. An experienced Chef was hired, trials began in Payal’s home kitchen, lab tests were done to get reasonable self-life. The first product prototype was ready for A/B testing within their residential community. Feedback was gathered and iterations were made again and again to achieve the best results.
All this took nine months to make the baby. And bang, Kalchi came to the world!
